2008 Annual General Meeting

The 2008 Annual General Meeting was held on April 23^rd at the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts centrally located in the lower mainland.  The meeting and reception took place in a large warm west coast room overlooking Burnaby Lake.  The fifty or so people mingled well, while enjoying the refreshments and browsing the lupus displays.

Everyone enjoyed hearing from Karim Chandani, founder of Celebs for Kids and parent of a young daughter who has recently been diagnosed with lupus, and our main guest Dr. Jennifer Reynolds of St. Paul's Hospital Division of Rheumatology, UBC Division of Rheumatology, clinical director of the new Lupus Program at St. Paul’s Hospital.  Mike Hinman (president) and Josie Bradley (vice president) did a great job of describing all of the activities and achievements since the 2007 Annual General Meeting which celebrated the 30^th anniversary of the BC Lupus Society.
